Become an Associate

All privately-funded enterprises depend on financial contributions from interested members of the public to survive. Your tax-deductible contribution will support a local organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, and improving the quality of the tidal waters of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. To be effective, organizations like the Virginia Eastern Shorekeeper also need the help of many volunteers, especially those who live or work on the creeks, marshes, and shores. Frequent observations of these environments and familiarity with “normal” conditions is necessary if changes, subtle or severe, are to be detected and reported to an appropriate local, state or federal authority. Only then will investigations as to their cause(s) and effects on the health of the environment be made.
